Supporting the Next Generation of Heritage Leaders


Muse were selected, following an extensive application process, to deliver training and CPD for the new Green Heritage Future Leaders Programme, developed by Midlands Parks Forum and supported by the National Heritage Lottery Fund.


The programme supports the next generation of leaders working in parks and green heritage across the Midlands, helping to build skills, confidence and professional networks for the future.


Training is delivered through a combination of face-to-face and online sessions, with mentoring and peer support embedded throughout the programme.


Areas of specialist training include:


  • Vision, strategy and feasibility for heritage projects

  • Understanding heritage context and strategic purpose

  • Historic and architectural protections in heritage projects

  • Heritage horticulture, interpretation and landscape management

  • Project management frameworks for heritage projects

  • Fundraising, grant development and income generation

  • Commercial planning for heritage projects

  • Community engagement, collaboration and place-keeping in heritage landscapes.
